Hi there, I get the following error when trying send/receive my hotmail into outlook 2003. It was working fine before and suddenly from one day to the next it doesn't work at all !! I tried to delete the hotmail account and reconfigure it but it doesn't help either. Getting desperate. OH yeah would like to add that I have a hotmail premium account and am not free hotmail user, so this should not be the issue either ! Funny thing is that I use outlook at work and there accessing my hotmail account still works fine ! Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error (0x80004005) : 'Outlook's request to the server failed. The server responded ''. ' ANYBODY >>>!!!! Help please !!! I am running XP SP2 and I have Norton Internet Security Running on my system. Still all that didn't matter for some time, as it was working fine one day and just quit on me the next. Help please !!! > > M the fact that it fails in OE too tells me something is wrong between you and hotmail... it could be NIS, especially if it installed any updates. Disable NIS (you probably shouldn't use two anyway) - the router should have a firewall enabled and that is actually better than a software firewall.
