After reinstalling WinXP, none of my programs would open, even though they
appeared in the Program Files folder.  As a result, I had to reinstall
Outlook 2002 and can't seem to find my old contacts, old emails, etc.  Any
suggestions on how to restore that stuff?  Or did I erase it when I
reinstalled Outlook?

It is probably as a result of the way you reinstalled WinXP, there are a
number of different methods.
Search for *.pst to include hidden files, but I would think it likely that
they have been deleted.
