There is no server or password, but I get halted by this message whenever I
try to email,
whether office or coffee shop. so it's not a message from the network at my
office, for
example.

I tried turning off my firewall, which is the only thing my hoster's tech
support people could think of. It's a new computer and all my
inbound and outbound mail settings are apparently correct. They
think it must be an Outlook thing. Any ideas?

Hi Ben,
maybe this could help, if always a pop up window asked for username and
password
