There is no "News" in the Go Command list to setup Outlook for the Newsgroup
reader. What do I do now?

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express.  If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Good afternoon.  I have Outlook, not Outlook Express on my computer (running
XP) with Office 2003.  Following your instructions, I find that the default
newsgroup is Outlook Express, and it does not appear as though I can change
it to Outlook.  Any suggestions to resolve this?

Thanks

Nothing to resolve. Outlook is not a news reader. Never will be. It calls OE
to read news.

It says that so you can launch Outlook Express in News-Only mode from the
"GO" menu; Outlook has always used Outlook Express to read news.  To get the
News command back, go back to the Programs tab in 'Control Panel|Internet
Options' and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express.  If OE
prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch it,
clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the "No" button.
