MSDART.DLL error message

When starting Outlook I get this error message "The procedure entry point
GetText ExtentPointI could not be located in the dynamic link library
MSDART.DLL. I have the fix as posted for the similar GetIUMS error to no
avail. Any ideas? Thanks!

Download and install the latest version of MDAC from Microsoft

I downloaded and ran MDAC 2.8. It did not fix this issue. I am running
Windows XP Pro SP2

Any other ideas?

Not really. MSDART.DLL is part of MDAC. Does it still ocur when you start
Outlook is safe mode? Also locate extend.dat and rename it to extend.old to
reset the registry cache for addins for Outlook.

Try the following:

In Outlook go to Tools-Options-Other-Advanced Options
Change the Startup in This Folder to Inbox.

Restart Outlook
