I read the following posts, but the persons last question received no answer.
Can someone answer the folloing questions?
1)  <<<"I have a similar problem, and have tried using repair, to no avail.
The only option left is to remove Outlook and re-install from scratch. Will
the
contacts and e-mails be lost?">>>  and, my question is
2) Do I need only to back up my .pst file?  Is that the ONLY data file used
by Outlook?

Hi Rick,
have you tried to start scanpst.exe from the command line?
Note, better to make a backup
If you deinstall your Outlook.
Which files are important in Outlook, please read
