Outlook 2003 doesn't shut all the way down when I exit Outlook.  .

Outlook 2003 doesn't shut all the way down when I exit Outlook.  ..

I have noticed that it also opens Word and it still runs in the background.  
I have unchecked the Word option under mail options but the problem still
exsits
