I have been attempting to configure Outlook 2003 to access my Earthlink email
account.  The test messages go through, but  I am unable to send or receive
messages through the Outlook program.  I get the error message: "Sending
reporting error (0X8004010F) The operation failed.  An object could not be
found."  I am using a cable modem through Comcast and I have Norton Firewall
installed (although I disabled it and that didn't help)  Any ideas about what
to do?
Thanks.

Gene

Had the exact same problem and worked for me as well.  SO much more helpful
than the complicated articles on the Microsoft Site.  Thanks!

Andreas, you're a bloody star! With so many posts on this Outlook error,
especially with NEW installs, I'm surprised Microsoft haven't go the fix
posted prominently on their web sites.

Regards,

Bruceh
