We use the system outlined by Sue Mosher to share all of
our office calendars (copy the link to a public folder
with appropriate permissions).  A user is shown as a
delegate with editor permissions.  This user can view the
calendars using group schedules.  However when trying to
view using our office calendars function the user is not
allowed access.  The error message reads "Can't open this
item.  Can't create file: User's Calendar.xnk.  Right-
click the folder you want to create the file in, and then
click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your
permissions for the folder."  The user can see all
others' calendars just fine.  I have made sure the
properties are set in the folder view.  What is causing
this behavior?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dave

Sorry, I should have mentioned we are using Outlook 2002
(part of Office XP) and Exchange 2000.

What version of Outlook? I don't think the .xnk shortcuts work in the most recent versions.

Sorry - OL2002.  This user can see 9 of the 11 calendars
in the office.  The other 2 are where we are having the
problem.  He has editor rights on both the systems but
still cannot open, even though he was able to open them
up until about a week ago.  Thanks in advance for any
ideas.
