This is probably not the right newsgroup but for lack of
finding a better one, here goes:

I installed outlook 2003 recently and tried to open
a .pst file from a backup CD and get the message that I
have no access to the .pst file on the CD.  HELP!!!  I
need the backup desperately!!!

Copy the file from the CD to your hard drive, then turn off the read-only flag on the .pst file.

Sue, I have the same problem but the read only box is not
checked and it still will not import the pst file.  Can
you help me please.  Guido

Where is the PST file located? What are the exact symptoms you're seeing when you try to import?

dear laura,
you have to remove the read-only in file properties, you
could not start the *.pst directly from CD. first copy the
file to disk then remove the read only mark, right mouse
klick on your *.pst file then properties, after that you
can open your file.
kind regrads
