Sharing Outlook data

I've got a question that I'm hoping someone can help me
with...

I have 2 users who maintain a contact database and
schedule appointments for our President and they're
currently using Act! v6 for 2004 because it allows
multiple users to be in the same database at the same
time and it also allows them to sync each of their Palm
Pilots and a BlackBerry to the database.

They're really not happy using the Act! system and I'm
wondering if I can get them using Outlook instead.  We're
running a Novell network so there isn't an Exchange
server to sync with.

Is there a way that the calendar and contacts can be
saved to a shared network folder and accessed
simultaneously by the 2 users?

Thanks,
Ash
