If I belong to a group that has a team folder - inbox, tasks, sent items, etc
- can I create a task that will create a reminder on the due date, and will
pop-up on everyone's desktop who share this folder?  I've had no problem
creating a task, and everyone in the group can see it right after I create
it.  But the due date passes, and reminder occurs.

Outlook fires reminders only for items in the user's own default folders
unless you use the tool from http://www.slovaktech.com
