Using E2k3 sp2 and outlook 2k3.
A user wants to be able to assign tasks to others from a public folder task
list, but it isn't working. Saw a technet note on outlook 2002 that had a
couple sentences in it which read "In particular, tasks behave differently
depending on whether they are stored in a public folder or a personal folder.
In a public folder, tasks cannot be assigned to another person."
Does outlook 2k3 operate differently and can the tasks be made to work from
a public folder?

What my clients do is make a Shared Mailbox rather than a Public Folder and
use the Tasks folder in it to Assign Tasks to team members. It then enables
the team to see who is doing which Tasks for a specific project.
I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

How do you make a shared mailbox?
