I am using Microsoft XP and I am trying to synchronize my
client list from QuickBooks 2003 to Outlook 2002 (Office
XP).  When finished, I get the following error message on
every client.  "Unable to create an Outlook or MS
Exchange record.  Lack of network access to MS Exchange
Server can cause this problem."  I posted this problem on
the Outlook (General) Newsgroup and Exchange Server
Miscellaneous without any success.  Can you help?

Apparently I am not using Exchange server.  I did a
search on my HD and nothing by that name came up.  What
is Exchange server?

You'd know if you connected to one - it's an enterprise mail/groupware
product that runs on a server in a Windows domain. If you go to tools |
e-mail accounts | view/modify.... , what do you see in there? If you don't
see Exchange, which you shouldn't if you don't use it, check with Quickbooks
support to see what it's looking for and why it thinks you need to have
Exchange.
