We are using Filenet Workflow software to send email
notifications to employees. Filenet uses Outlook 2002 to
do this. However, when an email is sent, no copy of it is
saved in the sent items folder. If I create the email
manually and send it, it does save a copy in the sent
items folder. If Filenet creates the email, it shows
briefly in the outbox folder then it sends the email just
fine, but does not retain a copy.

Does Filenet documentatation or support have anything to say on how they
did this?  Do they really use Outlook, or just use the underlying
email infrastructure (MAPI) to send mail?
