I'm having problems trying to dial out from Microsoft Outlook 2000
using the TAPI driver for the Avaya IP OFFICE. If i select 'connect
using line' i am only given two options, IPCONF LINE & H323 Line. This
was installed on a Windows 2000 Professional system.

I have also tested this on a Windows XP Professional running Outlook
XP which works fine. I dont know if its anything related to OS or
Outlook Version.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I get the same & hunting around I see it is quite a common problem. Some
say its just  a case of deleting & reinstalling but I've tried to no
avail.

It works on some of the PCs here but not others.

Can anyone help

We recently experienced this problem and found a "solution" as below:

1.Install TAPI as usual from the Avaya Disc
2Once installed, remove the TAPI telephony drivers within Contro
Panel->Phone and modem->advanced
3.Then copy the contents of the TAPI2 folder off the Avaya Disc t
winnt/system ( 3 files )
4. Run the it.exe you have just copied accross once it's in th
winnt/system dir... this will produce an error which just needs to b
closed.
5.Re-instate the TAPI telephony drivers within
Control Panel->Phone and Modem->advanced->Add
6.Try Outlook or 3rd Party dialer again.

This has worked for us on all W2K machines where the installer hasn't.

Hope this helps
