OK this may be the dumbest of all questions - but when
outlook is offline and you have it set to automatically
send and receive emails, even while offline - where does
the email go? Our new ISP won't hold it, they want us to
hang on to all emails. Any ideas? We do not use a MS
Exchange server.

Outlook connects if it can and downloads your mail the same as it would if
you were online. If it can't connect, it can't download.
