Help!
I am using Outlook 2002, SP-3, and just installed Norton Internet
Security 2004 - it runs as part of Norton Systemworks 2003.  Now every
time I send a message, (click send/receive), it does not send the
first time. It stays in the outbox with a open status.  I have to
click send, then send/recv again.  The email is then sending twice to
the recipient.  I tried disabling Norton internet spam within NIS, but
no luck.  Any ideas on what is causing this problem?? Thanks very
much!!

I may end up sending it back to Norton - just not impressed so far
with NIS 2004.

if you wait a long time does it ever disappear after the first send?

Thanks for your reply Diane.  I tested it again and yes, after
waiting, the message does get sent, but it remains in the outbox -
does not get transferred to my sent folder.  While in my outbox, it
has the icon next to it like the message is still in draft mode (an
envelope with a piece of paper). I guess this is the problem - the
messages are not moving to the sent folder after being sent.  Thanks
for any other assistance.

ok... that explains the 2 messages you saw before. It's something with the
Norton scanner, but I don't know how to prevent it since you said disabling
email scanning didn't help.
