conflict message

I've written a utility for synchronization between a crm solution and
outlook's contacts and appointments.  I access exchange server thru mapi
objects, logging on with outlook profiles created on the fly.

One particular exchange user shows a conflict message on a particular
appointment item.  This message shows that the same user edited this item
twice, about 3 hours apart and that these edits are in conflict.  The user
does not edit appointments in Outlook, he only edits them in the CRM
database.  So, this means that my synchronization utility edited this item.

How would this conflict occur, then?  When both edits occured, the sync
engine was logged onto exchange server under the same profile.  The edits
were at least 3 hours apart.

I appreciate any help!  Thanks in advance!

Check to ensure that the time/date, time zone, and daylight savings time
settings are correct on all servers and workstations. Also check in Outlook
(tools, options, calendar options).

Thanks, I will check these settings.  In the meantime, I can say this...the
exchange server resides in the US, central time.  The client running the
sync engine resides in the US, central time.  The user who is experiencing
these conflicts lives in Europe.

If either the server or the client workstation that is running the sync
engine, or the client workstation experiencing the conflicts is incorrect,
how would that cause this problem?
