Has anyone figured out a way to get Outlook 2003 working
with Gmail?  There should be a way to do this but I can't
get it working.  Thanks for any help!

Not possible that I know of. What makes you think it should be possible? :-)

Has nothing to do with being compatible with Microsoft - Google doesn't
offer POP or IMAP access to gmail, which is really what one would need to
use it with any mail client.

Some alternatives that may be what you want....

Pop Goes the Gmail (PGtGM) 1.0

eMail2Pop 3.0

Donesn't do everything, but gives you the idea of what can/cannot be done.

Here's another idea, if you don't want to install new software. I notice
that at least one of the suggested apps also needs .NET Framework
installed - ugh! (IMHO)

Anyway, this is based on what I have done in Outlook 2002/XP. Create a
new folder as a subfolder of your Inbox, name it whatever you want.
Right-click on the new folder and select "Properties". On the "Homepage"
tab, enter the web address of your GMAIL Inbox.

"You can add any HTML page as a folder home page to any folder, and
depending on your version of Outlook, you can also use JPEGs, text files
or other documents as folder home pages."

The easiest way is to login to your GMAIL account using your browser,
copy the address from the Address field then paste it into the Homepage
textbox in Outlook. Depending on your settings, you may have to login to
your webmail each time you open that folder, or maybe just the first
time each day.

Just one possible hitch. If you use Windows XP SP-2, it may not work. I
saw a post that suggested that SP-2 "broke" the Web Access feature in
Outlook.
