retrieving deleted notes

When I synced my notes/memo on the PDA using XTNDConnect
with Outlook 2002, some of the old (very important) notes
were deleted. I am wondering if there is a way to
retrieve them from some deleted items folder, some files
hidden from novice users, etc. Is there some sort of
deleted data maitained on the PDA (visor edge).

There are some deleted item recovery tools for Outlook, but I don't have any way of knowing whether they'll work in this case. See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/scanpst.htm#tools for links.
