I have a fairly extensive list of contacts in Outlook 2000 and I would like
to send each of the an email that is sent to each of them individually with
their email address in the TO field.

I would also like to personal the body of the message something like:

Dear [FirstName],
I am please to announce....

I there any relative simply way to do such a mail merge?  ... with or
without an add-on or 3rd-party utility is perfectly OK.

Note:  Years ago when I first investigated this feature in Outlook the
process was so cumbersome that I decided to send each email message
separately manually entering the email address in the TO field and the
corresponding FirstName.

Thanks!

Steve

Easy peasy.  Select the Contacts you want to merge to.

Tools|mailmerge| select merge to email (bottom of screen) write your message
subject line in the window, then OK.  Word will fire up.  Use the Insert
Merge Fields button (NOT word Fields) to put your Contacts fields into the
document.

Then click the icon that merges to email.  It's off and sending - so do a
test to 2 or 3 people first to learn how it works.

BTW. You must have the same version of Word and Outlook.
