I understand that I can have outlook drop a box down when
I am addressing an email and show in this box email
addresses that I have sent an email to in the past.

I would appreciate it very much if somebody could let me
know how to turn on this feature

I am using outlook 2000 and use word as my email editor

Thank you for you help
regards,
mike burton

I forget if Outlook 2000 uses Auto-resolve or automatic name checking.  In
either case, Outlook will  need to build a cache of addresses to whom you
have already sent mail in order to suggest names when you are typing in the
address.  If you use Alt+K, it will resolve the name against your contacts.
