I want to transfer my existing Outlook 2000 addresses, contacts and e-mails
(ie everything) running on Win98SE to a new computer running XP and Outlook
2003.

What would be the recommended way?

Would I need to install Outlook 2000 on the new computer first, then
transfer all relevenat files (which?) and then update to 2003?  Or is there
a better way?

Thanks,

Russell Darling

Milly:  Thanks.  That and the associated links should cover it.

Have you had any luck in solving your problem yet?  I
have exactly the same query & cannot work it out either.

Hi Russell -

Can't guarantee this would work, but I've done something
similar. First, on your old computer you should be able to
Export your Outlook folders to a "personal file" -
suffix "pst". Save it somewhere easy to find.
Then you should be able to have your 2003 version just
Import that *.pst file. (File/Import.. etc.)
good luck.
