MS Office Forum / Outlook / New Users / February 2004Trying to disable Outlook as an E-mail client
When I try to send an e-mail from any where in Windows XP (My Documents, Word, etc)A dialog box opens asking for a Microsoft Outlook Profile. I know nothing about this and I do not want to use Outlook. This did not happen before I installed Office 97 to retrieve some spread sheet info that I could not open in Works 2003 which I am now using. I would like to have all Windows XP functions go directly to Outlook Express which I have set up as my default E- mail client. In control panel, internet options, programs, see if OE is set as your default mail client.
