Intermittently when i shut down Outlook 2002 and try to
open other programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Internet
Explorer 6 they won't open. Examining the task manager i
find that Outlook is still resident, when i shut it down
the other programs work fine.

Anyone experience this before?

How to prevent it?

If you had taken a few minutes to search this newsgroup, you would have seen
that a LOT of people have experienced this before.

Again, if you have perused already-posted messages, you would have found
your answer.

Well, Brian, I've been 'perusing' this newsgroup for a
good 30 minutes now, and haven't found the answer to my
question, which is similiar to xray's.

How long do we have to wade through this crappy format,
with no search tools, rude know-it-alls (such as
yourself), misleading subject lines, jumbled subjects,
etc., before earning your Golden Seal of Worthiness and
being blessed with an answer from you instead of smug
condescension.

Thanks for being a jerk.

Google is an excellent search tool for this and every newsgroup.

Constantly!!!   Very irritating.   Sometimes I have three instances
of Outlook running in the background.

Will keep my eyes on this post.   Hopefully someone can help
us sort the problem out.
