Outlook 2003 and Office 2002

I am trying to use Word as the e-mail editor in Outlook
2003, but the option is grayed-out. Is this because I use
Office 2002 and have Outlook 2003?

Would I need to upgrade to Office 2003 to be able to have
Word as my e-mail editor?
