Restoring a "Backup" or "Archive" ??? Help

Hello-
Before I had my HD reformatted I made 2 backups and an
archive of my outlook-03. The 2 backups are from
different dates and the archive is from a common date of
one of the backups.
My trouble is that most of my saved calendar events arent
their. Additionaly and more importantly, my contacts
arent being "restored" Please help, I am getting very
desperate. Thank you all for reading.
