This works great for that:

Look in Rules Wizard. I'm not sure if Ol2000 supports the condition for
people in my address book (newer versions do), but if it does, use it. I
would do it as an exception - check mail as it arrives, leave conditions
blank so all are checked and move to deleted, expect if address is in my
address book. Note that if you buy online and receive a confirmation or
someone gets a new address and emails you from the address, you'll never see
their email. For this reason, I recommend using a real antispam filter
instead - mailwasher is one of several that are good.

John and Diane,
It seems there is no way to do this in Outlook 2000 on it's own. There is
no way to add the address book in this version to the exception list.
For the exception list I would have to add every person in my address book
one by one.....the other option is to buy a third party product....and hope
it doesn't bog down the machine with other issues. Before I go an buy
another product to make this one work, I would rather exhaust the
possibilities in the product itself...
You would think there would be a way in OUTLOOK 2000 to do this...I havn't
given up tinkering, so if anyone has another solution, please let me know....
Thanks for the suggestions,
George..

Thanks Diane, I checked that site out and most of the rules she has there are
for Outlook 2002 which seems to have more options in the rules wizzard than
Outlook 2000.... I will keep hunting and hoping :)
Thanks again for the info...
