I imported addresses etc from old PC into outlook and they are under
contacts. I enabled the contacts as add to email under properties, but when
I am in contacts view I cannot send email. There isn't a send message option
under Actions menu or from right click menu or from new Icon.

My wife uses outlook at work and says I should be able to send email from
the contacts view. I am trying to switch from OE to Outlook but am stuck on
this.

Help appreciated.

Have you set up your Mail Accounts in Outlook? Also enable the Address Book
to use Contacts as an address book. Open Address Book in Outlook, go to
Tools, Options. OE uses a different format for addresses and you must tell
Outlook where to get addresses.
