Outlook 2002 asks if I want to send receipt - How do I stop that?

I have Outlook 2002 set to "always send a receipt" yet every time I open and
email, it says "[sender] has requested a read receipt do you want to send
one?"

It shouldn't ask me that because under Options, Tracking Options, I checked
"Always send receipt."

If I check "never send receipt" it doesn't ask.

So it shouldn't ask if I have checked "ALWAYS send receipt," right?

I can't answer your question, but sending a receipt
verify's your address to spammers. I never send a receipt
for that reason. Sure, if they don't get a bounce, they
assume it's a valid address, but a receipt only adds to the
bandwidth usage.
Most legit senders also understand that the lack of a
bounce means that you have received it. Even when you send
a receipt, doesn't mean that you have read it.

That's a good point Chuck, thanks. But for inter-office purposes, I need the
receipt situation to work correctly.

I have outlook 2002 on another pc, with the settings exactly the same, and
it has never asked me if I want to send a receipt.

So something is wonky on the pc that keeps asking.
