I first had AOL and it played the youve got mail sound but after I
uninstalled it my outlook express never played any email notification sounds
and I just installed Outlook 2003 and it does not either. I have outlook
receiving mail from an hotmail account.

Control Panel>Sounds should allow you set your "new mail notification" sound
to any sound file on your PC.

Already did that and still no sound, is there a setting somehwere in outlook?

Tools > Options > Preferences tab > Email Options button > Advanced Email
Options button.

New mail notifications do not work for Hotmail accounts.
