When we cc someone, typing in an external address like al@metaresponse.com, it resolves to the internal Exchange address, so if the recipient gets it and hits REPLY ALL, they will get a bounce since the internal address can't be used from the sender's end. If you are using the contact in your corporate address book to send e-mails to recipients outside your Exchange organization (i.e., you are sending it to some external mail server), there should be an SMTP record in that contact's record. It's been too long since I've used Exchange but I remember seeing an SMTP record in the contact that specified that external recipients e-mail address (rather than use the Exchange-internal recipient lookup). You'll need to contact whomever manages the corporate address book to get them to enter a valid SMTP record in that contact. If your internal Active Directory domain name is the same as an externally hosted email domain (and you're using the POP connector) you need to do some tweaking. microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs is a good place to post SBS questions. |
