Does Outlook 2003 in cached Exchange mode keep an offline copy of other
user's contacts (for example) that I open or does it only cache data
from the default mailbox?

Thanks!

yes, if those contacts are in the default mailbox. Where are they?

I don't think I was clear.  What I wanted to know was if I open another
user's contact folder that I have been granted permissions to, will
those contacts be cached on my local machine?

No. Connections to mailboxes other than your own are made directly to the
server, not the local cache.
