Outlook is Stealing Focus From Itself

I have Outlook set to prompt me for a password when I log on. Every
single time I start Outlook, it shows the "Enter password" dialog box.
Then when I go to type in it, the main Outlook window steals the focus
from the password box. I have to take my hands from the keyboard, use
the mouse to get focus back to the password dialog, and then remember
where in my password I left off and finish it.

Is there any way to get Outlook to stop stealing focus from itself?

Thanks.

It just happens as soon as Outlook displays the contents of the Inbox.
It's like focus shifts from the password box to the Inbox's list of
messages.
