Well,
I depend upon our administrators' will :c)
They decided all emails would be stored locally in a PST file.
But when we use the calendar in it, we can not share it.
So I have to read my emails from the PST, and use the calendar on the
server,
which is annoying. Plus, the reminders for meetings do not work on the
server,
while they do in the PST file.
That's why I wanted to synchronize the server and the PST to be able to :
- share my calendar (server)
- create my meetings in the PST (close to the emails)
- use the reminders (PST)

That's not a great setup. If possible, recommend that they setup offline
folders (which can sync by nature) with tight auto-archiving to keep server
mailboxes down in size.... but if you can't accomplish that. Take a look at
these pages for some ideas:

http://www.slovaktech.com/remindermanager.htm (for firing reminders out of
folders other than the defaults)
