Move Sent Messages To Inbox?

I would like to have all messages I send out moved from my sent folder
to my inbox, as I send each one.

I created a rule that moves a copy but it still leaves a copy in the
sent folder and I either want that deleted or, even better, moved to my
inbox so there is no copy in my sent folder.

I want to do this so I can decide each time what I want to do with the
sent email - some I will delete and some I will file, but in the end
the amount of storage space used for copies in the sent folder will be
reduced.

I've done a search and seen some good suggestions but in the end no one
said how you act on those suggestions.

I'm using Outlook 2003 and Windows XP Professional.

Thanks for you suggestions.

Turn off the automatic saving to the Sent Items folder: Tools menu > Options
> Email options

Then your rules will work as you'd expect.
