I open MS Outlook, up pops a screen for my password, behind it you can see
what e-mails I have. If I double click on one of them it will open and it can
be read by just moving the pop-up box for the password. How do I change this
so that it can not be read

What type of account? If exchange, you can 't unless you disable cache or
offline mode.

Can you alter the default view it opens to so the mails aren't there?

I didn't see anything. I have went through the options and advance and any
other tab that was there. I can not even find one to lock the mailbox so that
it asks for a password. I never used Outlook too much so this is new to me.
Thanks for the reply though I will check it out.
