Can I make Firefox with my tabs the Outlook default browser?

if so, how? I'm using Outlook 2003 XP Pro and Firefox, the latest
upgrade.

you can make it your default browser but it will not open new tabs, only new
browser windows.

That's odd since when I use Maxthon (a great IE overlay that adds tabs &
other stuff) as my default browser, Outlook opens a new tab not new window.

Outlook is an e-mail client, not a web browser.

Works for me with Outlook 2000 and Firefox 1.5 with tabbrowser
preferences.
