I have accidently deleted some messages that I had put in folders in Outlook.
I checked the recover my deleted Items folder but its only giving me recent
deletions. I tried looking for info on where the files go and found tout that
they go too a .pst file. I can't open this file because it asks me to browse
a program to open it. Any Ideas?

IF your messages are in the .pst file (no guarantee), you open this from
within outlook. File > Open > Personal Folders File (*.pst)

You open PSTs not by double-clicking them in Windows Explorer, but by
starting Outlook and clicking File>Open>Outlook Data File. Try again.

You already answered your own question. "Permanently" sums it up. They
were PERMANENTLY deleted.
