I have switched over to Outlook from Outlook Express. All ok so far but how
do I add a contact in Outllook from an email to my address book  (like you
would do in OE by right clicking the email and adding to my address book). Is
that possible

I don't understand your question. There is no address book in Outlook. The
address book is just a view of the electronic addresses in your Contacts
Folder.
Perhaps you have not yet configured your Outlook Address Book.
Perhaps you could post your Outlook version so we could tell you how.
