Cant use a signature

When I go to tools options and try to set a defoult signature, right when i
click on the signature that I want to use I get an error and asks if I want
to send the message to microsoft ( I choose not to send). Can anyone help me
with this problem??

FYI. I'm using outlook2003 microsoft exchnage.

I would start with choosing Detect & Repair from the Help drop down menu.

Thank you for your time.  I ran the repair as you said and it ran
successfully and I still am having the same problem.  I noticed when I do
anything in the 'mail format' tab under tools options I get kicked out.  
Strange,  huh?

Is there a way to view my meassages without  Outlook 2003 automatically
opening the first one every time I click on a folder? thanks, DJ

Turn off the Reading Pane. When you want to view a message, just
double click on the message in your message list.
