Hi

I'm running Win XP Home on a P4 3.2ghz / 1.5GHZ 400mhz RAM/ Outlook 2003 SP2
and I'm having problems sending a 43MB file. (MPEG)

It sits "sending" in my outbox for hours. I'm on a 2.2Mbps Broadband
connection with no limits in/out for the file size.

If I send a smaller 1-2MB file it goes in seconds.

Any ideas?

Nik.

Most smtp servers are set up so as to limit the max size of attachments
allowed. Typically 5mb.

No e-mail server will accept a file of that size. If you have access to a
web site, you should be able to upload it to the site and have your intended
recipient download it. http://www.tripod.lycos.com/ has some cheap space.
However, their free space only provides for 20MB. Otherwise burn it to a CD
and take your chances on the U.S. Postal service...

Look at your service providers help on their website, there may be a maximum
attachment size for a message- split it into parts for transmission.
