I am switching from Express to Outlook.  I transfered everything and
re-entered the account info. I made Outlook the default email program.
However, I get emails to my old Express program instead of Outlook.  How do I
fix.

You're doing this yourself, actually, when you open OE and have it check for
mail. It doesn't know or care that you have the same account set up in any
other mail program...how could it? Remove this mail account from OE if
you're still going to use OE for other accounts....if you're going to use OE
only for newsgroups, you can add /outnews or /newsonly to the end of the
shortcut path to OE.

Don't run Outlook Express and it can't collect the mail.  ALternatively,
delete the mail account in OE or uncheck the option to include the account
in send/receive.

I am upgrading from Outlook Express to Outlook, also.  When I press
Send/Receive, Outlook brings in over 12,000 emails beginning in April 2005
with only 1 in 2007.

After I cancel, I can go into Outlook Express and get current emails.

How can I prevent the old emails 2005-2006 from coming into Outlook and
receive only current email?

>I am upgrading from Outlook Express to Outlook,

Outlook is not an upgrade from OE - it's a completely different program

that would suggest you have 12,000 emails in your ISP mail box - what type
of account have you got?

In the mail server, using a web interface, move the messages you don't want
Outlook to download to a folder other than the server Inbox.
