Keep copy of forwarded messages in Inbox

If a message arrives in my Inbox and I forward it to someone, I still want
the message to stay in my Inbox.  But it doesn't - it disappears to my sent
box.

I want it to be in both places.  Still in my Inbox, with a copy in by Outbox
showing that I did forward it to a colleague.

This was automatic in Outlook Express so I am lost.  How do I force this in
Outlook please?

Thank you.

Do you have your Inbox sorted by the icon column by any chance since
normally Outlook keeps a message forwarded from your Inbox in your Inbox.
Check to see how the folder is sorted.

My Inbox is sorted by Received Date.  I have just checked with my colleagues.
One says she has the same thing as me.  The other says that it stays in her
Inbox and goes in her sent box (what I would like to happen on my computer).

Any other suggestions?
Thank you very much for your help.

Is your Inbox folder filtered in any way? If you do a Find or Advanced Find,
can you locate the original message?

You can't have a message stay in the Outbox.  That's only a temporary
holding location for messages that have not yet been sent.  As soon as they
get sent they will leave that folder and there's nothing you can do about
that. You WANT them to leave that folder.

With your Inbox displayed, click View>Arrange By>Current View and tell us
what view is selected.

sorry, Brian.. I meant "sent" box.  The technician came round this evening
and did something and now it works properly... one copy still in Inbox and
one in sent.

Thank you both. At least I felt I hadn't called him out for nothing.
