My Outlook 2003 is giving me problems. In an earlier post I mentioned that I now cannot permanently remove the formatting toolbar in the mail send window even although I am not using HTML and switch off the toolbar in the menu or by right click. Someone said just drag this toolbar to a new line which I can do but on reopening Outlook the formatting toolbar has again covered up other icons I need to have visible. I am the XP administrator so how can I fix this annoying problem. Beemer Try the following - close Outlook and search and rename the outcmd.dat file to outcmd.old. Now restart Outlook and a new outcmd.dat will be created. This will remove any customization but I doubt this is an issue since you want to remove it any. Brian, No not any additional toolbars just an added Acrobat icon. However I have just noticed that there is an Outlook option "display toolbars on two lines". When I select this it does not stick as opening a new mail send the toolbars have reverted to "one line" Beemer > No not any additional toolbars just an added Acrobat icon.
