Hello, My mail shortcut is removed from my control panel. I did a search, I must have deleted it. How do I create a new one? > My mail shortcut is removed from my control panel. May it be that you mean "Desktop" instead "Control Panel"? To recreate the Outlook desktop icon go to Start | Run | type "regedit" in the open field | OK There navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace and add a new subkey (right click on Name Space | New | Key) and name it {00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}. Then close the editor, switch to your desktop (close or minimize all applications) and press the F5 Button on your keyboard. The icon should now appear. If I have misunderstood your question, forget what I have written ;-) SignatureBest Regards Christian Goeller Thanks - I'm referring to the mail shortcut in the control panel not the outlook icon. Does the file %CommonProgramFiles%\System\MSMAPI\1033\MLCF32.CPL exist? That's the Control Panel extension controlling mail.
