How do I stop double spacing on new E-mails to compose?

When I open a new E-mail to compose it goes into double spacing. The word rap
is single spacing. When I type words and hit enter to the next line it goes
double spacing. When I ad a signiture it doubles also.

That's normal for HTML.  Use Shift-Enter for single space.
