User delete attachments on server?

I'm accessing an Exchange 2003 server via Outlook.

Is there any way to strip attachments from messages on the server itself,
rather than downloading to a folder on the local hard drive and deleting it
there?

As you are asking about server-side actions, probably best to ask in an
Exchange group.
