How do I have sent messages go to the sent folder?

My sent messages are going into the folder I sent message from.  I want them
to go to my sent folder.  How can I change this? i have outlook 2002

have you tried looking through the options in Tools-Options-Mail?
Possibly?

Yes, The " Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder" box is checked

But isn't there another option that says "except for inbox, save replies
with messages" or something similar? (I'm not on Windows at the moment so
I can't check.....)

found that on the advanced email options.  I thought that was refering to
when sending a message that the original would be kept with what was sent to
the sender.  ie the sender would receive both his original email and my
reply.  I take it this is not the case.  i will uncheck that and try it .

This Option means that the reply to an email remains in the folder in
that the original mail exists. If this option is enabled all replies
will be kept with the original besides the original is in Outlook's
standard folder "Inbox".
